Bamboo flooring is made from quick growing bamboo stalks, found throughout most of Southeast Asia. Bamboo grows to a height of 60′ within the first several months of growth, and thereafter is harvested every 5-6 years. It is cut into strips, and then laminated into flooring planks. Bamboo floors offer tremendous interior design flexibility. Bamboo is unique, beautiful, and a great alternative to other hardwoods.

Our bamboo flooring is available in 8 styles, in either unfinished or pre-finished. We use the lowest formaldehyde glue in the industry (0.0127ppm), far surpassing EU specs which are much more stringent than US requirements. We offer a full line of flooring accessories including some products available nowhere else.

We offer:

• Solid bamboo – ideal for nailing or gluing (available in 3′, 6′, or random lengths)
• Engineered “floating” bamboo – ideal for “radiant” hydronic heat or concrete slab applications (available in a glue-together, or a glue-less system)
• Strandwoven™ bamboo – when you want “bomb-proof” (6′ planks; for nail, glue, or floating installations)

A new product line that is almost out of the development stages and ready for purchase, Strandwoven Colors™ Bamboo is our signature Strandwoven Bamboo infused with organic dyes throughout the board. This new product line presents a wide array of possible designs and patterns, and is also colored all the way through the thickness of the board, meaning sanding and refinishing remain an option with this product. Strandwoven™ Bamboo Flooring

The newest and most durable bamboo product. Strandwoven™ bamboo is considered the most stable natural wood known for flooring, and one of the hardest woods known to exist (over twice as hard as oak, and 50% harder than Brazilian Cherry). Strandwoven bamboo is made by compressing “strands” of the bamboo fibers under intense pressure, while using a heat-sensitive low-VOC adhesive. Strandwoven bamboo is extremely exotic and rich looking – through the “woven” process, the consistency found in the “traditional” bamboo styles is completely removed.

• Structure: Solid (true “engineered” available)
• Size: 9/16” x 3-7/8” x 72.83”
• Finish: 7 coats of a commercial-grade water-based urethane (NO Aluminum Oxide)

Note: We do not use Aluminum Oxide in the coating of our Strandwoven™ products. Through extensive testing we have found that Aluminum Oxide scratches “white” and cannot easily be repaired. Though it adds a theoretical “fictitious” hardness to relatively soft products, it serves no benefit (actually is a big negative) to hard products. The only way to effectively repair the “white” scratches is to sand off the original coating all together and recoat without it. And once the original coating is gone, the “finish warranty” for Aluminum Oxide coated products is gone.

Vertical Grain Bamboo Flooring

Bamboo strips are oriented on edge, reducing the visibility of “knuckles”, and providing a cleaner, flowing appearance.

Features a traditional, distinctive “knuckle” characteristic that repeats throughout the plank.
